The light at the end of a long drive. A paddock you've passed a hundred times that suddenly stops you. The coast in the late afternoon, the hinterland after rain, a back road that curves away under the gums. My work starts with those moments, the ones most of us move straight past, and tries to hold the feeling of them.
I work in acrylic and oil on canvas, often at a large scale, with bold colour and loose, intuitive mark-making. I'm not trying to record exactly what a place looks like. I'm painting what it feels like to be there.
I've always been drawn to colour. I studied a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, then spent many years in advertising and finance. I stepped away from corporate life to raise our family, and somewhere in those years painting went from a creative outlet to the thing I couldn't stop doing.
I sold my first painting in 2018. Collectors started asking for more, and painting full-time went from a long-held dream to my everyday life. In 2022 I opened a pop-up studio and gallery here in New Farm, Brisbane, where I still live and work.
I'm represented by The Toowoomba Gallery in Queensland and MYNT Gallery in Melbourne. With The Toowoomba Gallery I've shown at the Affordable Art Fair in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore, Austin, Houston and Boston. My work is held in collections in Australia, Singapore, Canada, France and the United States.

My husband Daniel keeps everything running behind the scenes, from photographing each new painting to making sure it reaches its new home safely. He also names some of the works, and has a habit of spotting animals in my more abstract ones.
