Sunday Drives began with the roads I keep returning to, out through the paddocks and back again with no particular destination. These six works hold the ordinary things you notice at that pace: a loading yard at rest, a roof through the trees, red dirt running into a pink sky. Painted in acrylic and oil, colour led, they are an ode to the pleasure of the long way round. More of the series will follow.
