Sunday Drives began with the roads I keep returning to, out through the paddocks and back again with no particular destination. These works hold the ordinary things you notice at that pace: a loading yard at rest, a roof through the trees, red dirt running into a pink sky. Painted in acrylic and oil, colour led, they are an ode to the pleasure of the long way round.
The larger works are available through The Toowoomba Gallery, and the smaller 40 × 40cm works through MYNT Gallery, Melbourne. Click Enquire on any work and I'll put you in touch.
